"Our client came to us wanting a glammed out barbie dream house and we turned it into our very first design award in 2021!"
Dawn came to use after experiencing our work in person at her gym. When she reached out and requested barbie, pink and glam as her aesthetic I briefly considered assisting her in finding another designer. Instead we dug into the notes of glamour in its original or vintage form instead of focusing on what it has become. This grounded us in mixed materials and the assignment of leaving no detail unpolished.
We also had to pitch the idea of a more mature pallet than Barbies dream house and requested that Dawn allow us to conceptualize her love of pink through our contemporary global lens. Thankfully she agreed!

We had the pleasure of designing two of the four floors that included a theater, living room kitchen, dining, office nook, entry and powder bath. Dawn can be described as a die hard lover girl and corporate baddie, so when it came down to her theater we chose contemporary stories highlighting black love!
What can also be recognized as a moment in black love is the self love floral installation we brought to life for her using wall mounted glass beakers. This is a true testament to how deeply we get to know our clients and what their wellness needs are to address them. Our aim here was to remind Dawn to tend to herself as she would those flowers. Whenever the wall needs some love, get you too!
