Shortly after accepting the invitation to the Jr Leagues Showhouse, I begin conceptualizing the design. I wanted to capture a nod to the timeless duality of leisure culture as an affluent adventure. In finalizing this I immediately knew I would author this design concept alongside the global collected illustrations of Schwung.

Schwung is a creative studio with the heart of a collector and the hands of a maker. A maker with an endlessly evolving family of desirable objects. And while our travels have birthed the contemporary global lens we’re known for. It’s the travel AND the traditions of the worlds global communities that have always fed my innate ability to reimagine things, as does every visit to the best souk in High Point, that is Collected by Schwung

From their extensive collection of J Halabala to the Moroccan ceramics turned illuminating one of a kind lamps. I had the opportunity to curate this sunroom into a Contemporary global archive of tactile and adventurous treasures. It is the room that holds all memories and secrets of vacations past with the luxury of entertaining guest in 20th century rotary chairs reimagined for today.

It is the room reminding you to wanderlust, to journey back to the treasure that is travel, And if nothing else, to leave living proof that you lived well through the luxury of leisure culture.

We had the most wonderful time supporting the Junior League of Greensboro in our first show house experience, and look forward to the next. Thank you to our friends at Schwung Home for the furniture and decor. Thank you to Raoul + Dani Morren for the beautiful original art. Together we were able to contribute to the lives of others through the power of design.
